Colors

This video is 3 months old now, but here is Colin after he first learned all his colors, just about a month before he turned 2. We were (and still are) so proud of him! He now knows these colors as well as pink, brown, maroon and gray.

Fun New Game

Colin has always loved this lion since we stumbled upon it at Tuesday Morning about a year ago, and now he has a new game to play on it.

Little Fish

I've had many people request a video of Colin diving under the water to swim to his dive sticks or "buddies" as we call them. So here it is! Pretty amazing, isn't he? :)

Ducky Game

One of Colin's favorite new games in the tub is what we refer to as the "ducky game." His bathroom is decorated in rubber ducks and we have two shelves on the wall that house a few ducks that are decorated with different themes. He always asks for one, but when we try to get him to tell us which one he wants, he always says "no" to each one.

Two weeks ago "no" came out "na-na." Then, playing this game, all of a sudden it went to "Nooo." He knows he's being cute and you can see him on this video look right at me and smirk. Sorry for the shaky camera and the Momma laughing, but it's just too cute, I can't help myself! I laugh so hard I have tears :)

Did I Mention He's Walking Now?

It only took 16 months for him to get the courage to let go of Momma's (or anyone's) hand and take off on his own, but once he did, he was off! This is a toy he got at Christmas from Gramma and Grandpa. Before he'd sit in the floor and roll it back and forth in front of him, now it's one of his favorite toys to just drag around with him.

For the record, we are considering Sunday April, 5th as his first time walking.

Grandpa Baby

Colin goes through phases of only wanting the attention of one of the adults in his life, more often than not it is Grandpa that he desires...and there's nothing wrong with that when you've got one heck of a Grandpa :)

Grandpa sometimes comes to get Colin after he's woken from his nap and takes him shopping, giving Momma a couple hours of break. In this video, Colin had just woken up and Grandpa was on his way to get him. Momma was putting his shoes on and telling him that he was going to go spend the afternoon with Grandpa.

Junk Mail

This is for all those out there looking for ideas of what to do with your junk mail, besides through it in the recycle bin. We found a very fun, creative idea to put it to good use, though we must give Colin all the credit for this one.

Peek a Boo, I See You!

This video was also taken on Monday. I was playing Peek a boo with his feet, and he loved it! I just love his laugh...don't you?

Crawly Bear

Thats the new nickname given Colin by his Grandpa Frank because, well, Colin is officially crawling everywhere. He took his first tentative moves on his knees on Sunday and on Monday he was crawling as much as his little body could. I got a short video and wanted to share.

Finger Foods!

A few weeks ago we started giving Colin what are known as "Puffs." They are little bite sized cereal baby snacks that are supposed to help little ones learn to self feed, and to chew. They dissolve in his mouth so their is less risk of choking. Once he masters these we'll start giving him Cheerios.

Splash Goes Colin

It's a two for one today! Though they are both of our little man in the bath, the first video shows Colin creating waves and, you'll notice he looks up a couple of times. He's looking at the shower head, trying to figure it out...probably trying to figure out how to get it in his mouth.

The second is Colin just being himself....adorable.

Giggle, Giggle, Giggle

First of all, it was very appropriate that I posted a video of Colin trying to crawl yesterday, because, well, he crawled yesterday! He is doing the "army crawl" where he stays low to the ground and uses his forearms to move, instead of on his hands and knees.

Today's video shows how Colin's little giggle is turning into a toddler giggle from a baby giggle.

A Week of Videos...Take Two

I have a ton of videos to share so I thought I'd try posting one per day this week for your viewing pleasure. I know I've tried this once before and got too busy to complete the challenge, but this week we have very little plans, we're hanging out at home and staying out of the heat!

This one is of Colin trying to get his toys...he's getting so close to crawling and he is completely fearless to throw himself toward a favorite toy.

Colin's Swim Instructor in the News

The Dallas Morning News did a piece on their neighbors Web site about the swim instructor who taught Colin. Click on the link below to take a look at the video. And watch carefully because there is about a 3 second shot of Colin swimming!

Thanks to GG Birdelle for finding the video and sharing it with us!
