This is soon-to-be-Daddy's first attempt at a post on the blog. As Rene posted last week, I have finally been able to feel Colin move after weeks of trying. I will admit that the whole pregnancy has seemed very surreal to me up until this point. For some reason knowing that Rene is pregnant and actually having it register in my head that we are soon going to have a little monster running around are two different things. Seeing Colin (and therefore Rene) growing more these days and feeling little Colin move around have definitely made the whole thing seem more "real" now. This has been (and I'm sure will continue to be) a very busy time for this Baker duo, and I admit to having many sleepless nights worrying about all that is to come, but I'm also very excited to soon be a Daddy and can't wait to see what our little bundle of joy looks like.
Last week Rene also posted that you go through about 7500 diapers the first year. I've agreed to change 100 of them. That sounds pretty fair, right? ;)

I'm glad to hear that Colin is no longer a potential troublemaker. It is so exciting to actually feel him move. I hope that I will have that opportunity too. Now let's discuss your math and diaper changes. I would have thought that you could have come up with a little higher number than 100 out of 7500. Given that you have chosen a low number, I might think that your turn is going to be the middle of the night emergency (smelly) changes. You can then deliver Colin to Rene as a nice clean fresh smelling baby for more nourishment. Oh well - enjoy every precious moment. With much love, Gramma (Kathy)
ReplyDeleteBRAD....about your diaper changing numbers....I don't think that will fly with Rene....unless SHE gets to choose which diapers you change. Ha Ha.
ReplyDeleteAND....BRAD....you get to change the fully loaded diapers that may require a need for a change of clothes and a bath. Ha Ha.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I love you Brad! LOL. You have this really distorted sense of reality! HA! Just kidding. Glad things are going okay!
