Colin had his 2 month check up today. This means he had to get his vaccinations today too. First, the good news was that the doctor was very impressed with his development. He weighed in at a healthy 10 pounds 13 ounces and measured 22.25 inches long. According to the doctor, he had a great shaped head, his lungs sounded healthy, a nice color, and overall was given an A+.
His vaccinations came in the form on 1 oral, 2 shots in one leg and another big shot in the other leg. The poor little guy cried and screamed. Just recently he's started crying real tears, so Daddy got to witness this for the first time and it almost made him cry too.
The only thing she recommended was that we try to get his bedtime routine in earlier. Lately, we've been giving him a bath, then feeding, then reading him a book starting at 8 p.m. and getting him in bed around 9 or 9:30. He's been giving me a 4 hour sleep window at that point and then about 2 or 3 hours in between after that. So, we are going to start trying to get him down by 8 now, just bump it all up an hour. She said this would help with him sleeping through the night. So we'll see how it goes.
After our appointment Colin got to meet Brad's co-workers. We stopped by and I had lunch with them while Colin got passed around the women of the office, one even called him "literally the cutest baby I've ever seen." Duh. hehe.
